Single Review: Swish Swish - Katy Perry (feat. Nicki Minaj)

Katy Perry is back with another song, but this time a collaboration with Nicki Minaj. Before I heard the full song, I heard a snippet, and I wasn't keen on it... it sounded interesting.

Anyway, when listening, I found that I loved the beginning of the song, her vocals are great (as always). I didn't like the sort of spoken singing and the chorus isn't my favourite, but I'm sure it will grow on me as time goes on. I did like that her sound is in keeping with what she has being doing recently, keeping the continuity.

Nicki brings a new, fresh sound to the track, and not only does she rap, she also sings as well, which makes it even better! I like the lyrics, but feel that they are not the main focus of the song, the beat it. It is a great song for a club or maybe a festival.

Overall, it is not my favourite new song but it's still great and I can't wait for the album (9th June!!!!)
