Hello Hello! So today has been a pretty decent day! Fall Out Boy have not only dropped the release date/name of their new album, but also the first single (with a music video) and tour dates (Only for the US though).

So me being me, I thought I would do a 'single review' for their newest single 'Young And Menace'. So firstly, I'm loving the purple theme running throughout, especially on the album cover. However, I do think they are slightly copying The 1975 with the whole name in lights thing. The purple theme doesn't stop there though, in the music video for 'Young And Menace' it is all tinted purple, which brings a really cool, and different idea.

Anyway, getting on to the song itself. It was not what I expected at all. To me, it didn't sound like Fall Out Boy at all, it had a sort of ballad vibe to it, but as I got further into the song, the chorus, it switched up to an electronic twist. Now I don't normally like electronic music but damn I love this song. It sounds incredible, and I can't wait to have it blasting through my car stereo! The vocals are amazing (as always) and I love that it builds throughout the verse and then BAM goes bat-sh*t crazy on the chorus. The lyrics are great and I really do think this song will sound insane (good) live!

So I thought I would put a bit about the video as it was released at the same time as the song. It is strange to say the least. The kid in it seems like they want to live the 'American Dream', but instead, in reality, is living the complete opposite. I really don't get the whole llama thing, so if someone wants to explain that to me, feel free! Also, what I think makes this video great is the editing. The effects correlate with the beat of the song, and I just think it adds to the aesthetic.

Anyway! The new Fall Out Boy album, M A N I A, is out the 15th of September, so put it in your diaries (or phones) AND go pre-order it!
