Single Review: Malibu - Miley Cyrus

When Miley announced she was realising a new song, I was ecstatic, especially as it was also announced that she had gone more countrified/back to her roots. No joke, I have been counting down the days for this song to come out and it's everything I imagined and so much more.

I love the guitar, especially in the first verse. It sets the scene/sound for the song and brings an old country vibe to it. The lyrics are incredible, slightly repetitive, but still amazing. They are so descriptive, personal and emotional. It is such a love song, yet sounds nothing like the typical one you would expect!

I love that this song suits her voice down to a T. However, I found it didn't show off the amazing vocal range she has, but fingers crossed there will be more Miley music that will do that! It is so catchy, and I love that slowly it picks up throughout the song. It is especially noticeable in the second verse where the beat is picking it up slightly.

I am so glad that Miley has come back with more music, and that she has gone down this route. She looks and seems so happy with this song and I am so happy for her! You can also check out the music video that was released with the song here. Fingers crossed for more incredible Miley music soon!
