Hello! I am back with my June Favourites. This month has been a bit harder for me to write blog posts, as you may have seen on my Twitter. Most of the time I've just been enjoying being home, secluded in the countryside, but hopefully I will get back into the swing of things and have some more posts coming out.
So one of the first songs I have been loving this month is 'Cut To The Feeling' by Carly Rae Jepsen. I did a single review of it at the beginning of the month (which you can read here). I stand by everything I said then and honestly I love it so much more. It is quite an uplifting tune, which has really helped this month.
Another song that I'm completely obsessed with, that came out at the beginning of the year, is 'Thief' by Ansel Elgort. His voice is insane, and this song compliments it so much. The song itself is very different, and the chorus is what drew me in. It is so catchy and I love the lyrics. Props to him for this song, and showing everyone how incredible his voice is.
Now I can't not have at least one Katy Perry song in my monthly favourites, especially after her new album, 'Witness', was released at the beginning of the month. I love this album, it is so great and different, and has really grown on me. If I could, I would have every song in this post, but instead I've managed to narrow it down to five, 'Witness', 'Into Me You See', 'Act My Age', 'Swish Swish', and my all time favourite 'Save As Draft'. There will be a full album review coming very soon.
Selena Gomez' newest song, 'Bad Liar', is another I had to include. I did a review here, which you can check out, but I also want to mention the music video. It is so different and sort of confusing, until it finishes, but I love the fact that she plays all the main characters, and that it tells a story.
This month I've also been completely obsessed with Niall Horan's song 'Slow Hands'. Pretty sure I rave about this song all the time but I really don't care, I absolutely adore it. It is so catchy and just knowing that he is releasing and working on solo music makes me hella excited for what's to come in his career.
The last song I thought I would include is 'Inspired' by Miley Cyrus. Now I didn't know about this song until she performed it at the 'One Love Manchester' concert, held by Ariana Grande. I thought it was a beautiful song, and I like the way she is going with her music. I did find it sounded sort of similar to 'Malibu', but I think it's just her voice. The lyrics are so beautiful, and the song is so simplistic, yet emotional.
