March Favourites

I'm back with this months favourites! So a lot of new music has been released this month.. (*cough* Ed Sheeran) but surprisingly I have drifted a lot more towards older music.

However, to start this month off, it had to be an Ed Sheeran track, and 'Dive' has been my go to fav from the album (of which I did a review here). I just love the beat and music... and lyrics! To me it's just an all round great track.

Another new one is 'Starting From Now' by Catherine McGrath, who was also featured in last months favourites! I adore her music at the moment, she is very old school Taylor Swift, which I love. Her songs are really catchy, this one especially, and I wish I saw her perform earlier this month.

This next track is an odd one because it is new but also it's old.. An amazing band called Club Drive have recently released a track called 'Spare Time', however I used to know them as The Tides and they had the exact same song as a single. So, it's weird for me because when they announced it I was really happy because it's one of my favourite songs but also quite confused! Anyway it's an AMAZING song, so catchy, and I'm glad they are getting some media attention around it.

'Nothing' is a song by a Swedish artist called MY. Her songs are really catchy and the lyrics are great. This song is an emotional ballad, or emotional roller coaster ride as MY likes to call it , written with Andreas Moe & David Björk. Although it was released at the end of February, I have listened to it much more this month.

Going back nearly a year with Hailee Steinfeld ft. Zedd, with 'Starving'. I love this song and it really reminds me of summer! I used to blast this song in my car on the way to work. Another song that reminds me of summer/going back to uni is 'Lights On' by Shawn Mendes. Now this song's lyrics are a bit on the 'say what now' side.. especially as he is only 18, but the general tune is so catchy and makes you (well me) want to sing-a-long.

The final song holds a special place in my heart and is called 'Tonight', and is one of the greatest songs ever.. It is such a tune! Recently I have been getting really nostalgic about old concerts I went to and I've latched back onto this song. It is by a band called Room94. I first heard about them back in 2013 when they supported Lawson on tour, and since then I was a fan. Due to uni etc I haven't been able to see them in about a year or so and honestly, I miss them. Since then they have had 3 albums out, all incredible, but I can't wait to see what they have in store for 2017.
