Adam Lambert is a singer, songwriter and actor, from Indianapolis (USA). He was runner up on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009 and later that year released his debut album, 'For Your Entertainment'. In 2012, he released his second studio album 'Trespassing', with his third album, 'The Original High', coming in 2015. Alongside his solo career, since 2011, he has been performing/collaborating alongside Queen.

So this was kind of a last minute gig that I decided to go to with my mum. In all honesty, the main reason I went was because of the band supporting him, Lawson. Lawson have been a big part of my life for the past four or five years, and they are the reason I want to get into the music industry.
Bit of background on Lawson - a four piece pop-rock band, consisting of members, Andy Brown (lead vocals & guitar), Joel Peat (backing vocals & lead guitar), Adam Pitts (backing vocals & drums) & Ryan Fletcher (backing vocals & bass guitar). They formed in late 2009, and were known as 'The Groves' but soon changed their name to 'Lawson' after Dr. David Lawson performed a life-saving brain surgery on the lead singer, Andy. The band were later signed to Polydor Records, and began opening for some big named artists, including Will Young and Jessie J. Their first single was released in 2012, 'When She Was Mine', and it reached Number 4 in the UK charts. Since then they have further released 7 singles, including 'Brokenhearted' featuring B.O.B, and an album 'Chapman Square', with a second album to come in 2016.
They were absolutely incredible! (as always :D) They sung 'Money', 'Roads', 'Juliet' and some other fan favourites. I was annoyed because they had such little time on stage, but I had to remember they were only a support act.
Now Adam Lambert... what a voice! He was so amazing and I was speechless. His vocal range is crazy! The audience were visibly enjoying themselves, which heightened the overall atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I only stayed for 40 minuted of his set as I wasn't feeling too well but from what I heard, I will definitely see him again if I had the chance!
