Busted are a pop-rock band from Southend-on-Sea, consisting of members, James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. They formed in 2000 and released two studio albums, 'Busted', which was released in 2002, and 'A Present For Everyone', which was released in 2003. They further released a compilation album and a live album. They have won two Brit Awards and won 'The Record of the Year' with their single 'Thunderbirds' in 2004, amongst other awards.
They broke up in January 2005, following Charlie's decision to pursue a career fronting a post-hardcore band 'Fightstar'. The other two went on to pursue a solo career amongst other projects.
In 2013, Matt and James formed a 'supergroup' with McFly, 'McBusted'. They went on a 34-date sold-out nationwide tour and made a debut overseas filling in for 5 Seconds Of Summer on One Directions 'Where We Are Tour', in Denmark & France.
In 2015, there was speculation that Busted had reunited after a picture made its way around the internet. At the end of 2015, Busted announced a 13-date arena tour in the UK and Ireland, and a third studio album. After tremendous demand, more dates were added.

On the 27th May, I attended the 'Pigs Can Fly' Tour at the O2 Arena, in London. The first support act was Emma Blackery, a singer-songwriter and YouTube vlogger from Essex. I had never heard of her before so listening to her music for the first time live was interesting. There was no doubt she had great stage charisma and energy, but for me I wasn't that fond of her voice. Now I'm not that keen on female voices but I know some who really enjoyed her set.
The second support was Wheatus, a rock band from New York. Now I am infatuated by Brendan B Brown's voice, and I love Wheatus, so was incredibly excited to see them. When they played 'Teenage Dirtbag' the whole arena erupted and sang along.
When Busted came out, the atmosphere changed, the inner fan-girl in me really came out. It had always been a dream of mine to see Busted live. Not McBusted, but Charlie, James and Matt together singing the biggest hits from their albums. And that is exactly what I got.
They sung so many old songs including, Year 3000 (of course), Sleeping With The Light On, 3AM, Crashed The Wedding, and What I Go To School For. They also sung some new ones. 'Coming Home', which had been released a few months earlier but also 'Easy'. This was one of my favourite songs from the night because they ended up going to the small stage in the middle of the arena, where there was just a piano (for James), and Matt and Charlie with their guitars. It was a real acoustic song and I can't wait until the album comes out.
All I fully remember of that night is screaming my lungs out (sorry throat) and having the best time ever. If they ever do another tour, I will be there for definite. I cannot wait for the third album and I know it's gonna be a cracker.
